Tried using to operate a 6v siren which pulls 2amps on startup and then drops significantly. Unit is unable to handle 2 amp startup although it is advertised as 4 amp.

6V AC Power Supply

Works great, puts out approximately 7.4 VAC which is probably a combination of build tolerance and my actual outlet voltage being a little higher than average determining this, but worked perfect for my application. These are a little hard to find at this voltage, so was happy getting one here. Shipping was quick, well made product, would buy again.

At 120VAC input, it's normal for the power supply to read about 1.5VAC higher on an open circuit. But once it's plugged into your device, it should lower down to the advertised voltage. The barrel connection is too large for our appliance.
